2026 CONCERT COSTUMES

Affordable for families, kinder to our planet 🤍

To keep concert costs affordable and reduce waste, most MCSD costumes will be hired and reused year after year. Dance costumes are largely made from synthetic, stretchy fabrics that are difficult to recycle, so reusing our costumes helps us reduce the environmental impact of our concerts.

Baby Ballet, Kinder & Pre Primary

Your child will receive their main concert costume to keep! It will be sent home in the weeks leading up to the concert and worn to the dress rehearsal and concert. If your child is away when costumes are handed out, we'll keep theirs safely at MCSD until their next class.

Their additional costume/accessory is hired and stays with MCSD.

All other students

We take care of everything! Hire costumes are transported to Frankston Arts Centre with our 100+ costume tubs and will be waiting backstage.

Children wear a beige leotard and tights underneath for privacy while changing. These are available from the MCSD desk for $10–$15. Please check at home first, as your child may already have them from a previous concert. No hire costumes to take home, wash or return. We take care of it all! 🤍

Costume fees cannot be refunded for change of mind or withdrawal from the concert.
